Think watch, breathe leather, craft watch strap!

10 years ago, Yi Leather, a small humble atelier was founded by a lady helming both the production and other aspects of the business. Shuyi, who has zero knowledge on watches have spent a decade in the watch retail scene and even gained some knowledge in basic watch repair. Yi Leather has allowed her to still be in touch with watches after becoming a self-taught leather crafter specialising in handmade watch straps for fellow watch people.

Yi Leather sticks to the belief everyone deserves a bespoke handmade strap for them and their watches regardless of brand without breaking the bank. A bespoke strap tailors the length accordingly to wrist size, achieving the desired thickness in proportion to the watch, a wide selection of leather types and colours to spice up the watch and most importantly, a refreshed look for the watch.

All leather is sourced from reputable tanneries all over the world. In addition, the straps are made from scratch and hand stitched in Singapore by Shuyi. While the company continues to make straps for end consumers it has also evolved to collaborating with local watch retailers creating limited run of watch straps. The company has grown and see some of our customers who make straps for their personal watches to making a watch brand for others.

To name a few, Yi Leather has collaborated with our very own local watch brands such as Feynman Timekeepers and Mitch Mason Watches in producing handmade straps for various projects.
