About

HITori

Samuel Ng, Founder

Hitori (ひとり) continues to uphold its quiet philosophy of “One quiet vision. One enduring craft,” a guiding belief that has shaped the brand since its inception.  As a young watch company, Hitori set out to offer something different: timepieces that combine reliable mechanical performance, refined craftsmanship, and thoughtful design, all at a quietly honest price. Every Hitori timepiece begins and ends in Japan Nagano, where time is measured not only by precision but by touch.

Our approach to watchmaking is deeply rooted in the traditions of Japanese craftsmanship, where refinement is a virtue and subtlety speaks louder than excess. Every Hitori case is meticulously polished and finished using integrated techniques, a rare and demanding process mastered only by artisans with years of devoted experience. These techniques require not just skill but sensitivity, an understanding of the balance between form and function, between beauty and restraint. From the inner curve of the lugs to the distortion free mirror finishes on the case sides, nothing is rushed. Every surface is a canvas, every detail a reflection of care.

What sets Hitori apart is a quiet sense of solitude and freedom—an independence not just in how the watches are made, but in the way they think about time and design. Each piece reflects a deep connection to culture, not in a surface-level way, but as something lived and felt. It’s not just about looking back or romanticizing the past; it’s about carrying forward a certain spirit—a belief in craft, in storytelling, and in doing things with purpose.
