Lima watch, a micro-brand from Indonesia, was founded by Herman Tantriady – a branding and advertising veteran whose love for watches has made him switch his career to pursue watch design. Lima Watch launched its first collection in 2015. They started with making wooden watches with contemporary and minimalistic designs that shook the product design scene in Indonesia a that time. Since then, Lima slowly transformed itself into making “more serious" watches with mechanical movement as their power source. In the past two years, Lima has launched two mechanical watch models, Lima Meca and Lima Meca Revolt. As both were still greatly inspired by Lima’s early design concept, which was deeply influenced by Van Der Rohe’s “less is more” and Dieter Rams’ “good design is as little design as possible”, making Lima watches stand out with their clean lines and straight forward shapes.
