Yu Ando, Founder

Founded in 2020, AndoAndoAndo is the creative vision of a designer and visual artist from Tottori, Japan. After studying Environmental Design, he began his career as a writer for major Japanese media outlets including Gizmodo Japan and Discovery Channel Japan, while continuing to pursue a wide range of creative and design projects. His work later expanded into several Finnish-Japanese design collaborations, experiences that further shaped his distinctive design philosophy.

What began with designing logos and furniture eventually led to watchmaking during the COVID-19 pandemic. Viewing a watch as both a practical tool and a wearable work of art, the founder sought to create timepieces that offered something beyond conventional watch design.

Rooted in an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship while embracing individuality, AndoAndoAndo reflects a belief that personal expression deserves a greater place in modern watchmaking. Drawing inspiration from both Japanese design sensibilities and contemporary creativity, the brand focuses on producing watches that are playful, unconventional and full of character.
