Azimuth, a brand that is known for its avant-garde quirky designs, is proud to announce the celebration of its 20th anniversary. Based in Singapore and Neuchâtel, Switzerland, Azimuth has been using the state-of-the-art technology, whilst honoring the finest aspects of traditional watchmaking to craft truly unique and iconic timepiece designs that go against the grain.
The birth of Azimuth can be traced back to two vintage watch enthusiasts, now co-founders of Azimuth, Alvin Lye and Christopher Long. From a design perspective, vintage watches began to appear strikingly similar, igniting their imaginations and sparking a desire to innovate and revolutionize watchmaking. Viewing watch design from a different perspective, the duo then sought to create watches that transcend the conventional round shape and with an unconventional way of telling time. 2003 marked the year when Azimuth began its journey into the unknown horological universes. Intrigued by objects from his childhood fantasies such as cars, robots and spaceships, Christopher expresses and translates these ideas into reality through watchmaking. These objects of fantasy continue to inspire Azimuth today, infusing their watches with a playful and childlike quality. Azimuth's unique approach to design challenges the norm, captivating enthusiasts with each whimsically inspired creation. Below are some of the iconic models which have gained worldwide cult-status among the watch communities.
